Biography
Dr Ashok Govila was trained by the stalwarts at Canniesburn hospital in Glasgow like Tom Gibson and Ian Jackson during the 1980s. He was the chair of the additional professor at the university hospital in Chandigarh India before he moved to Dubai in 1993. He is double board qualified one for MCh Plastic surgery at PGIMER Chandigarh in 1977 and the second for FRCS Glasgow in England (honorary) in 2004. He has contributed to more than 100 international publications. He has chaired more than 34 international conferences and attended more than 24 countries. He invented several surgical procedures in reconstructive surgery and surgical instrumentations. He has contributed to several international books and is an authority in the field of Plastic and cosmetic surgery Today his fields of interest are Cleft lip and Palter surgery, Rhinoplasty surgical and non-surgical, cosmetic Gynecology, Breast surgery like augmentation, lift and reduction, body reshaping lipo-sculpturing and abdominoplasty. He is still active at Valiant Clinic and Hospital in Dubai where he has performed some 1000 procedures in a year since 2016.
